NORTON, VA - Rocky Covey Stidham, 43, died Monday evening, October 31, 2011. He was a son of the late James and Phyllis Stidham. Also preceding him in death were his brothers: James and Freddie Stidham.
Surviving are his loving wife, Jackie L. Stidham, a daughter, Cassandra Wireman Stidham of King College, Bristol, TN, and a step son Zachary Ryn Absher. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters: Blaine Stidham, Robert Stidham, Tracy Stidham, Regina Smith, Rebecca Marion, and Mary Sizemore; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Friday at the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton. Funeral services will be at 7 PM in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Roger Cooke officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11 AM Saturday at the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton for cemetery rites and burial.

NORTON, VA – Gloria Anita Belcher, 85, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011 at Indian Path Hospital, Kingsport, TN. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Blanche Newcomb Still. She was the widow of Carl H. Belcher, Sr. Gloria was also preceded in death by a brother, Jack Still. She was a God fearing woman, loved her Lord and was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Surviving are 2 sons, Carl Belcher, Jr. and his wife, Andrea, Parker, CO, Charles Edward “Chuck” Belcher and his wife, Ellen, Gray, TN; 5 grandchildren, Sonya Bishop, Perkasie, PA, Carl (Trey) Belcher, III, Parker, CO, Carrie Belcher, Parker, CO, Wesley Elizabeth Belcher, Lexington, SC, Chase Belcher, Gray, TN; 2 sisters, Patsy Boggs and her husband, D.L., Wise, VA, Betts Niezgoda and her husband, Steve, Alexandria, VA; 2 brothers, Ted Still and his wife, Doris, Vinton, VA, Andy Still and his wife, Delores, Bluff City, TN; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Thursday at Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday at the First Baptist Church in Norton with Pastor Kenn Hecht officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Grove Cemetery.
