DAVID EMERSHAW

NORTON, VA – David Robert Emershaw, 81, died Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at his residence. He was owner and operator of Dave’s Run-N-Rite Heating and Cooling in Norton for many years. David enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling. He was an inventor and enjoyed coaching Norton Little League. He was preceded in death by his parents, John George Emershaw and Louise Emershaw; his siblings, Thomas Emershaw, Raymond Emershaw, Louise Miller, John Emershaw and an infant brother, Jerome Emershaw; a son, David Russell Emershaw; and a grandson, Brandon Owens.

He is survived by his daughters, Roberta Emershaw of Norton, Va., Regina Browning and her husband Danny of Bristol, TN; a son, Jerome Emershaw and his wife Crystal of Norton, Va.; his grandchildren, Krztena Adams and her husband Austin, Robert Emershaw, Dalton Emershaw and his wife Chelsey, and Breanna Browning; his great grandchildren, Sienna Brooks, Reagan Brooks, Desmond Adams and Landon Adams; the mother of his children, Imogene Emershaw of Norton, Va.;  his brothers, Robert Emershaw and his wife Rose of Redding, Ca., Bernard Emershaw and his wife Louise of Visalia, Ca.; his sisters, Barbara Hubbard of Virginia Beach, Va. and Joan Nickels of Norton, Va.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Brenda and Roger Whitaker of Norton, Va.; several nieces and nephews; and his fur babies, Barbie and Sparky.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Saturday, June 29, 2019, at the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton, Va. Family and friends will meet at Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton by 10:30 am Saturday to travel in procession to the cemetery.
