MARVIN CRAIGER, SR.
NORTON, VA - Marvin Craiger, Sr.
of Dorchester, VA, age 81, passed away on August 25, 2014. He was a retired UMWA coal miner and U.S. Army
veteran. He was preceded in death by his
step-father, Dewey Brummitt, a brother, Palmer Brummitt and son, Perry Allen
Craiger.
He is survived by his wife of 61
years, Shirley Bentley Craiger, son and daughter-in-law, Marvin, Jr. and
Earlene Meade Craiger of Wise, VA; daughter and son-in-law Reta and Ron Daniel
of Richmond, VA; one grandson, Brian Hunsaker of Dallas, TX; step-grandson,
Matt Daniel of Richmond, VA; mother, Leona Brummitt and sister, Mable Taylor
all of Norton, VA; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Lisa Brummitt of
Church Hill, TN; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Linda and Freddie Williams;
sister-in-law and brother-in law Raymond, Jr. and Barbara Bentley all of
Norton, VA; sister-in-law Monette Estep of Midlothian, VA; brother-in-law and
sister-in-law Rick and Gwen Bentley of Wise, VA; special nephew Aaron Bentley
of Norton, VA; and a special niece (BFF) Mackenzie Smith of Norton, VA.
The family will receive visitors
at the Hagy and Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton Wednesday, August 27th from 4:00
p.m. to 6:00 p.m. followed by funeral services at 6:00 p.m. officiated by
Reverend Raymond Bentley, Jr.
Burial will be Thursday, August
28th with the procession starting at 11:00 a.m. leaving from the Hagy and
Fawbush Funeral Home to the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens.
NORTON, VA - Dorinda May Mullins,
55, died Friday, August 15, 2014 at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Born in Hillsdale, MI, she was a
daughter of the late Louis and Beatrice (Harrington) Burger.
She was the widow of Michael
Monroe Mullins, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorthea Tremaine.
Surviving are her children and
their spouses: Robert and Tammy
Thompson, Shawnda and Tony Perry, Shawn and Michelle Thompson, and Dorinda
Gibson and her fiancé, Alex Coy. Her brothers
and sisters are: Diana Barnes, Dana
McCormic, Debra Regenald, Donna Kendalburger, Doretta Swartz, and Louis
Burger. Her grandchildren include: Emilie, Anthony, Katey, William, AJ, Austin,
Hailey, Kiya, Desiree, Jason, and Cody.
The family will receive friends
from 5-7 PM Wednesday, August 20 at the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in
Norton. Funeral services will be at 7 PM
in the funeral home chapel with Evangelist Shawn Thompson officiating.
NORTON, VA – Inez Jane Stith, 57,
died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was
preceded in death by her parents, George Wilson and Mary Jane Allen Wilson; her
brother, Edgar Wilson and her husband, Paul T. Stith.
She is survived by her sister,
Sandra Billings and her husband, Randall of Norton, VA; her brother, George D.
Wilson and his wife Faye of Cromona, KY; several nieces and nephews; special
friends, Cindy Swiney, Gloria Jim and Joe Adams; and a host of other friends.
The family will receive friends
from 5-7:00 PM Friday at Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home. Graveside services
will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Wise Cemetery with Rev. Benny
Boles officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM
Saturday to travel in procession to the cemetery.
